The Bill (Reg.№4412) introduced by the President of Ukraine
suggests the approval of the President´s of Ukraine resolution concerning admission
of the subdivisions of the Armed Forces of other countries on the territory of
Ukraine in year 2009 for the participation in multinational military drills.
Participant would be: Serbia Republic, Russian Federation, Poland Republic, Republic
of Byelorussia, United Kingdom of Great Britain, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia,
Turkish Republic, USA, countries-participants of "Partnership for the Peace"
and other countries.
Yu. Ekhanurov, the Minister of Defence announced that finance expenses for the drills are expected to be taken at the expense of the Budget of the Ministry on Defense for the year 2009.
The members of the Committee expressed motions concerning the participants of the drill "Rapid Trident 2009" that must be held in August-September 2009 as there no specifications concerning what countries exactly would take part in drill.
The Members of the committee expressed doubts concerning the holding of the drill "Dovira-2009" that must be held in September 2009 with the participation of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation and Georgia.
The Committee deems the Bill as such that can be adopted in the first reading.
